  35. I've lit several chromakey setups and one trick I've used to good
  36. end is a "complementary color" backlight.  DON'T make it a highly
  37. saturated color.  For Bluescreens, use a 1/4CTO or tough 1/4
  38. Bastard Amber.  They produce a pale straw that knocks down the
  39. blue bounce from the wall (it's not only a wall, but a huge
  40. bounce card, even if it'sa blue velour curtain!) and gives
  41. _dramatically_ cleaner edge separation.  For green you'd probably
  42. want to use a 1/4 magenta of some sort (not red) to do the same
  43. thing.  YMMV, and I haven't done green myself.  For those who are
  44. technically inclined, the color choices have to do with RGB
  45. (additive), and fall directly opposite the color vector ofthe
  46. wall.  (Vectorscopes sure are useful!)

  48. Unless you can have your talent (or object, if one can indeed
  49. draw that distinction) far enough off the CK wall, this is the
  50. best way to deal with blue bounce.  NOTE: Make sure you flag your
  51. backlight so it doesn't fall on the wall!
